Weekend Wrap-Up #49
Monday, November 18, 2013
You might notice that I’m sporting a new layout here at Mailbox Journey. I went navy and super simple. I love it.
We had a nice relaxing weekend at home. We didn’t get crazy with house projects (I just did a little painting and we hung our french doors back up again). We just relaxed. Coco did too now that she’s healthy again.
We made some caramel apples, the easy way. We tried making candy apples a week or two ago, but the candy burned even though it was at the correct temperature that the box stated.
And Travis & Milo got a little ridiculous with the sleeping, but it was too adorable not to love. (no, I did not paint Milo’s nails. Those are plastic caps that go over the claws so he can’t scratch our furniture or us. They were all grey, but some fell off, so I had to replace them with blue.)
As I mentioned in the beginning of this post, we rehung our french doors now that they are painted. We still have some of the trim to touch up, that’s why the blue tape is still on the walls. I also put one coat of paint on the baseboard heat, but it will probably need 1-2 more coats before that’s complete. I’m really itching to paint the walls now.
On Sunday night, Travis’ Dad & girlfriend stopped in to visit us. This was the second time they’ve been at our house (they stopped in on moving day). It was dark out so we showed them the yard with the flashlight and they were impressed with everything that we got accomplished over the summer. They also brought our housewarming gift. Travis’ Dad made us this birdhouse with his own hands and I love it!
How was your weekend?
