Atlantic City Bus Trip

On Sunday, I went on my first-ever Atlantic City bus trip with my best friend from high school. We had a blast! I can’t wait to go back in October. The only part that sucked, was getting up at 4am. The bus pick-up location is almost an hour away from where I live, so I was driving while the sun was rising. I stopped on the way for some breakfast grub, and then met up with my friend, Samantha and her family and loaded on the bus.

We gambled quite a bit (the casino gives you $25 in free money to gamble with… some kind of partnership with the bus) but I lost it all. After we spent our free money, we walked out onto the beach (the casinos are along the boardwalk) where I asked Samantha to be my maid of honor (more on that in a few days or weeks). On the boardwalk, there was this homeless man that takes care of all of the stray cats. He had litter boxes under the boardwalk for them, and a smorgasbord of wet food laid out for these kitties. I don’t think he moves from this spot all day.

Now, I’m just going to leave you with a bunch of pictures from my trip. :)

DIY May-nia Link Party!

Happy Monday Everyone…. I have a big announcement!
I have teamed up with Anne from Wit Wisdom & Food, Ashley from The HumberHome Project and Kelly from Corner of main, to bring you guys gals an awesome link-up party for the month of May. We call this little shing-dig DIY May-nia. Get it? ;) So scroll below for all of the details, rules, and the dates that we will be linking up!

DIY_Maynia

There will be four chances to link-up during this project. You can participate in just one challenge, or you can do them all! I know that some people have been in a blogging slump due to the weather (especially me) so this will give us all an opportunity to get back into DIY’ing and blogging!

Here are the four challenges we will be hosting:

Link-Up Dates & Topics

Monday, May 6th – Mother’s Day DIY – DIY something for the most important woman in your life for Mother’s Day, and then come back on the 6th to show it off.

Monday, May 13th – Garage/Thrift Store Finds - Get outside and find something to add to your home decor collection, or something to makeover. Come back on the 13th and share your find!

Monday, May 20th – Memorial Day/BBQ DIY - This one will probably be my favorite, because I LOVE BBQ’s. DIY an american flag, or share a recipe that you love. I’ll be sharing a mixed drink, of course!

Monday, May 27th – Spray Paint Challenge - – The only rules to this challenge is that you have to spray paint something! It can be anything! An old frame, some wooden letters, or even a ceramic animal. You decide!

The Rules:

- no linking to shops, stores, giveaways or other link parties
- must link directly to the specific post
- link back to your link-up hosts
- most importantly, have fun!

The Button

Feel free to use this button during the link-ups, for easy linking back to your host. Just copy the text in the box below, and then paste it into your blog post.

The Contract Was Submitted To…. *drumroll*

theCasino

CasinoCollage

So 91% of you were right! We went with the casino! I stopped in at the casino last weekend to take a bunch of pictures so I could figure out where I could put decorations, and how it was all laid out. I also took a minute long video to help my memory. Please note that the place was kind of a mess from a previous meeting that let out, that’s why the dance floor is half taken apart, tablecloths are sloppy, and the one divider is half shut (all of the dividers will be open for our reception). Someone must have really partied! Also, I moved around pretty fast, so I apologize for any motion-sickness endured during this video.
