I’m currently in love with…

[ 1 ] I’ve had my eye on this camera for a little while now, the Nikon 1 V1 Camera. Lugging around my Nikon D5000 is kind of difficult sometimes, especially when I’m out camping. This little guy is amazing though, and falls into the same category as a DSLR. Plus, it has interchangeable lenses that are actually affordable since it does not use mirrors to take pictures like traditional DSLR’s. I’ve really been thinking about purchasing one, and selling the D5000, but I doubt that will happen, I’m too attached to my D5000.

[ 2 ] Growing up I always knew that I wanted to have crazy silverwear when I was an “adult”. Chunky silverware with crazy patterns and colors and all of it miss-matching. So when I saw this crazy set at ModCloth, I fell in love – Mix & Munch Cutlery Set in Multicolor

[ 3 ] It’s no secret that I love raccoons. They are hands down my favorite animal, so when I saw this print, Four Raccoons 5 x 7 Print, at Etsy, I knew that I had to include it in this months Currently Lovin’.

[ 4 ] Who likes boring laptop cases? Not me. Dress up your plastic case with awesome decals, like these Chevron Vinyl Laptop Decal. My laptop is black, so I’d probably go with a a purple or grey chevron vinyl.

[ 5 ] These prints are really cute and would look great all framed up – 5×5 Photo Print Set of Botanical Prints Gotta Love Nature.

Have a great weekend!

Last Month on Mailbox Journey

May was a pretty crazy month on the blog, I posted 21 blog posts within the month. I haven’t even been close to that since October when I did 20 posts! (I usually post only about 17 times) I most of had a lot to talk about and share over the month of May. Let’s recap!

Some bunting for the chalkboard was made from some scrapbook paper.

I made some refreshing Blueberry Infused Lemonade with Vodka in the beginning of the month.

I went thrifting at Shupp’s Grove.

I stained some wooden stars.

I made a felt camping season wreath, which I love!

I showed you guys the floor plans from our first apartment & our current apartment

I introduced you guy to Miss. Scarlett O’Hara.

You were also introduced to Liquid Skittles, yum!

You guys saw the inside of my fridge.

The results from the survey were released.

I made some absolutely delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Whoopie Pies for a Memorial Day picnic.

& last but not least, was that Peach Fuzz drink. :)

P.S. I’ll be back later on around lunch time with my “Currently Lovin’” for the month of June. :)

Projects, Projects & More Projects

It’s almost June, so I’ve pulled together a list of some projects I want to accomplish during the month and over the summertime. Here is what I want to accomplish in the craft/DIY area next month…

1. Finish my sunburst mirror. I started a sunburst mirror back in February. Yes, four months ago! It’s half stained, and waiting to be drug outside to finish the staining process. I still need to purchase a mirror for it, glue it down, and attach the hanging hooks.

2. Spray paint my wooden tray a crisp white. I’ve had a tray in the storage room for a few months now, that I want to paint white and use it to hold pencils/pens, etc. The same way Miss. Katie Bower uses hers.

3. A few months ago I bought the stuff to dye a mason jar blue, but I just haven’t had the chance to get ‘er done. I’d love to do at least two small mason jars in a tinted blue, and spray paint the lids to them silver so I can use them in the white tray above, and fill them with pencils, pens & paintbrushes.

4. Since Coco broke one of my flower pots, and my four o’clocks looked like a weed, I’ve decided to plant some succulents, and these dipped pots are just too cute!

5. I’m only doing one mixed drink for the month of June and I’m pretty sure I’m going to tackle a sangria – any great recipes out there?

6. Father’s Day is coming up in the month of June, June 17th to be exact. I’ve been thinking about making this bread for my Dad for his big day, especially since he loves Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups more than anyone I’ve ever met.

7. I’ve been wanting to do these signs for awhile now. I’d have to do five of them and I’m not sure how I’d do the lettering since I don’t have a cameo machine, but I’d love to tackle these to show all of the places we’ve lived.

8. I’ve been thinking about what I want to do with my little cabinet that I bought at Shupp’s Grove a few weekends ago, and I think I want to do a grey crackled age look to it. I’d love the aged and rustic look of this turquoise table, so I’m going to try to go with that look.

What kind of projects do you have planned for next month and the summertime? Is it a short & simple list, or a long and daunting list? My lists always seem simple to me, until I start to tackle things, then I get overwhelmed, but I love the feeling when I get everything crossed off of a to-do list.
