Christmas Recap
12/22/2012

Christmas break has flown by, faster than any year I can remember. I’ve also been sick for the past couple days, so I’m going to recap Christmas break real quick, so I can get back to naps and watching bad romantic comedy movies on tv. Last Friday, the 2st, was spent at the family business’ Christmas party which was held at my Aunt & Uncle’s house.

Christmas Eve was spent at my Grandma & Grandpa’s house where we chowed down and exchanged Christmas gifts. Here is an awesome panoramic view of the night thanks to Travis’ iPhone.

On Christmas morning we opened presents at home. Coco loved her new bunny.

Afterwards, we went to my parent’s to eat breakfast and exchange gifts. Here were the gifts we got my brother, which Travis picked out.

My mom even sent us home with freshly backed Christmas cookies, yum!

Travis got tons of awesome stuff for our future basement/man cave. Like this mini hot sauce bottle…

And this huge beer periodic table poster.

After my parents we went to Travis’ Mems for a few hours, followed by his Moms, where we played a bunch of games and just hung out.

And Then There Were Three
12/19/2012

Sometime last night, we lost Bora. Our last little gerbil. I’m actually happy that he finally passed, because I could see that he was suffering. He went the same way as his brother (Scirocco, October 3rd). Lost weight, slept a lot, could barely move, and went blind. But Bora must have been scratching at his eyes and at his stomach, because he had them bloody. It broke my heart, but he is finally at peace.

Now, we have an empty corner in our home, but we are not planning on getting anymore smaller animals. We are sticking with cats, dogs and farm animals. No more little furry creatures, because they just don’t live long enough. They are babies, and then all of a sudden you can see them dying, the entire process.

So after work today, we will be traveling to my parents house, to bury Bora right alongside his brother, Scirocco and with all of the other childhood pets. To lighten the mood a bit, here is Coco from last night doing what she does ALL the time. She meows, and meows, and meows. You follow her, and it leads nowhere or to her food dish (she likes to be pet while she eats). Coco use to never be able to meow, but no she kind of can, so it’s all she does! Drives us nuts, but we wouldn’t have her any other way.

Now, instead of leaving condolences in the comments, I want you guys to tell me all about your pets (both past & present, if you wish). Their names, your favorite memories with them, something they do that’s hilarious, just leave it all! Funny cat & dog meme’s are also appropriate. :)

I dream about wreaths.
11/05/2012

No, I have not given up on blogging. (Never!) I’ve just been sick since last Wednesday. Travis gave me his cold, and it’s been dragging on forever. But I’m still around, I just haven’t had anything to blog about since I’ve just been lounging around, watching movies and browsing Pinterest (I’m addicted again, after a long hiatus). I did however have a dream of an awesome wreath for the month of April that I want to make, asap! But It’s only November, so I should probably hold off for a bit. But I drew it out so I won’t forget about it. I also have some prints I’d like to draw up, and I’m bringing a new series to the blog, called Tech Tuesdays. I was going to do a “Technology Week”, but the awesomely inspiring Christine, suggested that I do a weekly series. I’ll explain all about Tech Tuesdays tomorrow! So I guess you could say that my inspiration wheels are turning again. I thought the blog was going to go quiet since I’ve had a lack of inspiration and disposable cash, but my brain is about to explode now with a bunch of projects I’d like to do, and the best part is that they are free, or cheap! :)

In other fantastic news, I received my Young House Love book over the weekend! I’ve already gone thru it a few times and there is so many great projects. It makes me want to “Julie & Julia” my way thru the book. Travis and I are planning on going to the book signing in DC on December 1st. Anyone else going to that one?

In a completely unrelated blogging topic, who watched the Walking Dead last night? Was that an amazing episode or what!?
