Currently Loving: Alarm Clock Edition

I was thinking today that we could really use a new alarm clock. (We don’t use our iPhones, shocking I know!) Something stylish, because let’s face it, most alarm clocks are hideous. This would be a really simple task for me to do, if I felt comfortable with an analog clock (I did include a really cute one below, for anyone who loves a vintage analog clock). I kind of missed the lessons on reading an analog clock while in elementary school, and never really caught on. (I was out sick for awhile in first or second grade, I believe, with scarlett fever) I have to stare at them for a little while to realize what time it is, and I wouldn’t trust myself setting an alarm on one! (Embarrassing, I know.) Interesting fact: Since I missed those lessons in school way, way back in the day, I don’t say it’s “half passed ten” or “quarter of”. In fact, if you say those to me, my eyes will probably cross and I’ll act like I know what time it is. Just tell me flat out that it’s 10:30, or 11:52.

So because of my lack of time telling skills, and because I want something stylish to sit on our nightstand, I put together a little round-up of some of my favorite alarm clocks out there in internet land. They range from $30 to $150 and you can find their source links below!

I’m Currently In Love With…

Can you believe it’s February already? I can’t. 2013 is already flying by! I completely missed December’s “Currently Lovin’”, but I’m kicking off February by getting back into the swing of things. Here are a few things I’m loving for the month of February…

CurrentlyLovingFeb13
Sources: Pecan Carmel Clusters, Vine App, Bobble Bottle, Viggle.

1. Viggle – I’ve been using this app since around November, and it’s pretty great. You basically just “Check-In” when you are watching a tv show, and you earn points. You can also play games to earn points, like My Guy, which you play during football games. I currently have 11,000 points (you earn 4,000 points just for having Directv) and I’m saving up for the 4 Million points cruise, (in my dreams, right?) even though I’m kind of afraid of being on big boats.

2. Vine – This app is not even a month old yet, but it’s pretty great. It’s like Instagram, but instead of pictures, it’s videos. It’s really interesting to look into the lives of fellow blog friends and see them in almost “real-time”, moving & talking. I have to warn you though, that my video’s will probably be either Coco or random drunk moments that you probably won’t even understand. (My apologies) You can find me by searching Mailbox Journey.

3. Valentine’s Day – I’m all about the smaller holidays. I’m not that big on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I LOVE Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and the 4th of July. My mantel has been decorated for Valentine’s Day since Mid-January, so I’m ready to go!

4. Family Time – Camping season is inching closer and closer, which means that I’ll be spending a whole bunch of time with my family. Once February hits there are always get-togethers (Superbowl, Camping Meetings, Nascar races, Poker nights) with the family, and it’s very much needed. For the month of January I barely say anyone. Travis and I were just working and working, and then crashing on the couch when we got home. We are both ready for some much needed family time, and we started it off last night with a trip to the family business.

5. Hershey’s Pecan Carmel Clusters – These are amazing. I’m not sure how many of you know this, but I live really close to Hershey. (as in their exit is only one exit away from our apartment, and we use to live one town over) So we always have plenty of Hershey’s candy in the office. Lately I’ve been scarfing these little babies down, and I don’t even really like carmel. So delicious.

6. Bobble Water Bottle - I’ve been trying to drink a lot of water lately, and this little bottle really helps me stay on track at work. I’ve had it for the past month and water is the only thing I drink at work now. The bottle is a little loud to drink out of, but I don’t mind.

What are you loving lately? & What team are you rooting for in the Super Bowl? I’ll be watching the game, but not rooting for any team… I’m still upset at the Patriot’s loss against the Ravens. By the way, how do you all like the updated layout?

I’m Currently In Love With…

Sources: Katie Daisy, Blockbuster, Moose International, Bowling, Arizona Sweet Tea.

Blockbuster Subscription – We recently signed up for blockbuster subscription account to feed our love of movies, and to cut down on trips to the RedBox machine, since it’s out of the way for both of us. So far we love it. We signed up for the 2 DVD’s at a time, and so far so good.
Moose International Club – We’ve been hitting up the Moose International Club with Travis’ Mom & Step-Dad lately, and it’s an awesome time. Travis and I have been getting in as guests, but we have our applications sitting at home so we can join (It’s $35 or $45 for 1 year). They have live bands on the weekends, and their drinks are cheap! $2 for beer, and $3 for mixed drinks. They also have delicious cheap food. Win-Win!
Arizona Sweet Tea – I finally got on the Arizona Tea bandwagon. It only took me years & years. I never really like sweet tea, until the past year or two. Now, I love it. We’ve been buying this stuff every time we go to the grocery store and it is delicious. I still don’t like McDonald’s sweet tea though, but in time, I might.
Bowling – I’ve only gone bowling once so far (in my life) but I had a blast. It might be my new favorite thing. We are going bowling again this Friday (Glow Bowling) and again on Monday night with Travis’ work. Excited! I’m just hoping I do better than last place.
Katie Daisy Ball Jar Print – I found this print during Katie’s Cyber Monday sale and instantly fell in love. It’s so me, that everyone thought it was custom! I actually messaged her a few days ago about a custom logo design for Mailbox Journey, even though I’m sure she is way busy, but it’s worth a try, right? Anyway, if you have not checked out her shop yet, you must! It’s amazing. The Wheatfield Shop by Katie Daisy
Cruise by Florida Georgia Line – Travis & I have a new favorite country song, and its this one. I think the only reason Travis likes it though, is because it says “New Chevy with a lift kit…” I frequently belt this song out in the car and hope that no one see’s me doing so.
