Latest Additions: The Framed Mason Jar
02/14/2013
First off, Happy Valentine’s Day! ♥
I bought a beautiful Mason Jar + Wildflower print from Katie Daisy’s etsy shop, called The Wheatfield during her black friday sale. Yes, way back in November and I had yet to frame it. The print screamed everything I loved, but it just sat around collecting dust. That is until I went shopping over the weekend and found the perfect frame for it, and for the perfect price (Only $9.99 & I paid for it using a giftcard = free). The frame is an aged green and the size is 11 x 14.

Here is a close-up shot of the color and aged-ness. (is that a word?)

The frame did come with matting, but I’ve never really been a fan of the stuff. I like the picture to take up the entire frame, but I did store the matting for future use – just in case. The frame looks great with the grass and stems of the flowers, and really helps the blue mason jar pop.

Since I can’t find the hammer anywhere, and we are out of hanging nails… I just stuck the frame on the bookcase for now. Eventually though, I think it will end up in the kitchen somewhere.

I love it. I think it looks really cute with the ceramic bird… maybe a future home on a shelf?
Also, I love this print but I love that its a Ball jar… you know being a Ball State University graduate. My university was founded by the Ball brothers! :)
