Weekend Wrap-Up #36
Darn weekends and their flying by. I’m so ready for my three-day weekend that’s coming up (President’s Day), but in the meantime, it’s time to get back to blogging. I should actually have three posts this week (what!?). I’m slowing getting back into the swing of things, but let’s start out easy with my weekend wrap-up…
On Friday night Travis had to work late, so I spent my time after work doing a bunch of things. I went to Michael’s as the snow began, followed by Petco and then to pick up Travis’ Valentine’s Day gift. Which I wrapped in a cardboard box; Classy, I know. I also updated my instagram picture of the #LenkerBeerBottleCollection. We’ve been saving different types of beer bottles for Travis’ man-cave because of a dream I had. Which involves Retro Ranch Reno’s wood shelves, before they even existed (psychic?)
I continued on with the night by drinking some wine, hanging out with Coco (who was mid-yawn in the picture below) and watching the snow fall.
I even got my new clutch from The Humble Penguin Shop (AKA: My Blogging BFF) It’s adorable, and I’ve been using it ever since. I’ll have to post some pictures of it soon. I also counted out my collection of corks. I was going to make a wreath out of them, but that makes me nervous after reading about others having serious problems making them. I received a lot of suggestions on what to do with them instead, but I have yet to make a decision. Saturday was spent watching more lost (we finally made it to Season 3!), going to Lowe’s for things to fix the toilet with (it’s fixed, properly), and just kind of lounging around.
On Sunday, Travis took me out clothes shopping as my Valentine’s day gift, but it was a bust. The stores were crowded and it made us hate our city even more because of the way people were acting. I did buy a frame from Marshall’s though, with a gift card I had. I’ll have a post on that later this week. (Hint: It’s going to frame this.)
Who all has a three-day weekend this coming up weekend? Any plans for it? I’m thinking about cleaning out our storage room… again.

I wish I had a three day weekend coming up!! Oh and I am s0o0o glad the “winter” weather is over with here in so. Texas (yesterday it was in the 90s!!)
Also, that cork and bottle collections are impressive lol.. were do yall usually get your different kinda of beers from? I’m totally a beer girl but I usually just drink michelobe :)

I’m so ready for winter to be over. The groundhog predicted early spring, so I’m hoping he’s right.
Our beer bottles come from various places. We bought a case of Rolling Rock. The Blue Moon & Samuel Adams are from a case my brother bought. And the others are from beer’s that we drank at Travis’ sisters house. Travis also buys different kinds of beers during the summertime, so the collection will probably grow a lot this summer (he can pretty much drink anything).

Finally got a chance to catch up on your blog. It was great to see everything you are working on in you video. The wreaths are looking great and I love the starburst mirror. My blog posts have been slacking a little lately too. This morning I sat down to edit some pictures and was flooded with inspiration. It was amazing… now if I can actually follow through and get them written. It’s crazy how long it actually takes to get a post written and ready to publish.

No three day weekend for me… but I’m ok with that. I need the monies after being unemployed for two months.

Sounds like a good weekend to me! What a bummer that the stores were closed…it’s only snow people! I hope you can get some shopping in next weekend ;)

We have a 3 day weekend coming up as well but it will be busy with my daughter’s school musical. We are LOST fans too. Just watched all of the season again w/ my daughter(her first time). Still such a great show. What problems are you worried about with your cork wreath? I made one and it’s been fine.
