Weekend Wrap-Up #35
I’m operating on about four hours of sleep today, so if this post makes zero sense, I apologize now. I also vote that Super Bowl Sunday be changed to Super Bowl Saturday. Getting to bed at midnight, on a work night after the hype and drinking from a super bowl party, does not sit well for me on a Monday morning.
Friday night I started working on some of my wreaths until Travis came home from work, when we left to help one of his co-workers pick up and move a fridge. While the guys were doing all of the heavy lifting, I was chatting it up with his wife, Jamie.

On Saturday, we did a little grocery shopping, which resulted in us wanting to be healthier. So we picked up some gummie vitamins (I can’t swallow big pills, even if my life depended on it, so gummies suit me) which somehow resulted in the huge box of corn dogs coming out. Healthy right? The rest of the day was spent getting chilli ready for the Super Bowl and watching Lost, all day long. (25 episodes down, 96 to go.)

We also bought a lottery ticket after we grabbed some groceries, like we do during most grocery trips. It was a dud. Sunday afternoon we headed out to my Aunt & Uncle’s for their Super Bowl party. Which resulted in great food, good drinks and amazing people.

We placed some bets and played some Jenga (only because we were making plans to make a giant version for the camping season). We decided that whoever made the tower fall, would have to take a shot.

Somehow this resulted in playing Jenga with the beer pyramid (which didn’t end well) and helping my 13 year old cousin with her homework (a word-search for extra credit).

How was your weekend? What did you think of the Super Bowl commercials?

I’ve watched the God made a farmer commercial 5 times so far on You Tube. I am in love with it!
Didn’t want the super bowl at all, though haha.

Is that the Budweiser one where the horse comes running back? Loved that. My cousin does barrel racing, so she was all excited about that one.

Your blog keeps looking more gorgeous every day I visit! It looks like you guys had an awesome weekend! I second the Superbowl Saturday idea…
P.S. That beer can Jenga is HILARIOUS. I want to come hang out with your family! :)

I have to warn you. Once my family likes you, you basically get adopted. :P There are quite a few people that are in our “circle” that are not related at all, but I always catch myself calling them family.

My weekend went pretty well despite some not to great-ness but such is life.
Friday, I got to have sushi for the first time in what felt like forever.
Saturday was a bust.
Sunday, I went to a friend’s Superbowl party and it was a blast even though us girls didn’t really even watch the game. LOL.

My friends and I were all wishing we lived on the West coast yesterday so it could be a Super Bowl afternoon! Game over at 8pm wouldn’t have been half as bad as 11pm. Stupid Power Outtage.

Sounds like a great weekend! I totally agree with you about Superbowl Saturday; it really only makes sense! I was so tired last night I went to sleep shortly after half-time ;)
