Weekend Wrap-Up #33
It’s back to regular, non-stressful weekends for us now that the holidays are over with. We have to get plenty of down-time in before the crazy camping filled summer starts up again. So, Friday night I was still sick; therefore, we just hung out at home, even Coco was tired and lounged around by the Christmas Tree.

Saturday morning we woke up to 4 inches of snow and it was still snowing out, so Travis had this bright idea to head out to Bass Pro Shops to look at their pistols since he was $300 in Bass Pro giftcards from Christmas presents.

Bass Pro shops is connected to one of our local malls, so we hit up Subway at 11AM in the food court and then saw The Hobbit in 3D (It was amazing! I want the Hobbits house!). Also, because of the “mini blizzard” outside and since we picked a 12:10 showtime, we were the only ones in the theater!

When we came home our newest Blockbuster rental came in the mail, which was the very first Lord of The Rings movie. We decided to watch the prequel (The Hobbit) first and then watch all of the other Lord of the Rings movies. We have never seen the movies (we are way late to the party, I usually avoid franchise things whenever possible because of the crazyness.) so we have them all in our Blockbuster que to watch.

Travis also decided to whip up some pigs in a blanket before we started the movie up.

Mid-Way thru the Lord of the Rings my parents and brother came over to visit for a little and then Travis and I headed out to the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Town for drinks with Travis’ sister and her boyfriend. The rest of the night Travis played Xbox with my cousins, brother & family friend while I started this Weekend Wrap-Up post. Sunday night was a relaxed day at home, we just watched movies and the Patriots game. I also packed up all of the Christmas decorations.
How was your weekend? Are you ready for New Years tonight? I’m sooo ready to ring in 2013.

Sounds like a great weekend! We went to see Les Mis on Saturday (we’ve already seen the Hobbit twice) and then went to the mall and I bought some new things at Home Goods.
I’m so excited for tonight! Our friends are throwing a huge New Years party and its going to be a blast!

I’m ready for the holidays to be over. Is that bad? Last week I would have thought I was nuts. Now I’m done.
Way to have the theater to yourselves. I’m not a big movie goer because I’m always stuck next to Mr. Loud Mouth or Mrs. Wears Too Much Perfume.

Totally jealous of your snow! We haven’t had any snow stick or accumulate yet this winter. Bleh. Made it not feel like Christmas at all!
So, because of reading this post earlier, I just went out and got mini hot dogs and crescent rolls. Yummm. :)
I saw most of the first LOTR movie – but ended up leaving the theater about 2/3 of the way into it because it was SO long and boring. haha. I’ve only seen bits and pieces of the others. I have the books, and eventually will get around to reading those and then try the movies again.
Happy New Year!! <3 <3

The Hobbit was amazing! Especially the 3D quality. I now want a Hobbit House and I agree that the first movie is boring. We watched it on Saturday.
