Weekend Wrap-Up #28
Monday, October 29, 2012
so I’m not sure how many times I will be posting this week. **
Instead of getting ready for #Frankenstorm with everyone else on the east coast, Travis & I went camping. Which was officially the last camping trip of the year. We stayed at the campground from Friday night until late Saturday night. I even drove the truck for the first time ever, because I was the DD for my two uncle’s & Travis since I took them to the bar. We also met my cousins’ new dachshund puppy, Remington.
We then spent Sunday preparing for Sandy’s arrival. We gathered all of our candles, lighters, fireplace necessities, batteries and flashlights. We also filled up all of our jugs we had with fresh water and filled up 5 gallon buckets of water. We did have to run to Walmart for some poncho’s and rain suits, since that’s one thing we don’t have in our “emergency kit”. We do have a stock pile of food though, since we are zombie obsessed. Thankfully we are well prepared for a storm (especially after last years flood) so everything that was missing from the shelves (batteries, water, flashlights) we already had. I was surprised at the amount of poncho’s & rain suits/jackets that were left though, does everyone want pneumonia?
And in a twist of events, Travis now has the flu or something. (So glad we went and got those rain suits!) So he’s at home today holding down the fort with Coco and drinking his weird mixture of grapefruit juice, orange juice & ginger ale.
How was your weekend? Are you going to be meeting Sandy? If so, Stay safe out there!
