Attempt at a Photo Gallery Wall #2

I highly doubt you remember my old photo wall and that is okay because most of those pictures have since fallen down. We didn’t want to put holes in the walls at the apartment back then, so we bought some heavy duty mounting tape. It worked for about a day, and then the frames started falling one by one. But for some reason the three biggest frames are still stuck on the wall, and I can’t for the life of me get them unstuck. So our photo wall at the bottom of the steps looks really weird. This time I decided to move the photo wall into the mudroom. After re-arranging it a bit, of course.

I used both nails and mounting tape to hold these suckers up so they wouldn’t move every time the door opened and closed. I think I’m going to add more pictures to this little gallery over time, and extend it all the way to the ceiling, but for now this is all I had on hand. (& yes, I realize that there is a giant screw sticking out of the wall. That was there when we moved in, and I don’t have a drill to remove it. I’d yank it out if I was the hulk, but I’m not.)

Oh, I realized a few posts back that I guess I never talked about the gerbils. We have two; Bora is grey and is impossible to get a picture of, and Scirocco is tan. (Yes we named our gerbils after Volkswagen Models. #RestInPeaceGLI) They are going to be three in December, which is the typical lifespan of a gerbil. Poor little guys. Here is Scirocco:

Coco is loving where her food dish is now, mostly because she loves to sleep on the step that leads to the bedroom. Here is a little refresher for you guys, and a little diagram for some newcomers (hi! so glad you’re here). In this picture I am standing in the doorway of the bathroom and looking into the mudroom.

Tonight, I think we are going to re-arrange the bedroom. Only if the cable cord can reach to the other side of the bedroom though. We’d like to switch the bed & the dresser/tv stand. We’ll see. :)

I actually got them back in college, on a whim. I went to the mall with a bunch of buddies, and one of them happened to work in the pet store there. I thought they were cute, so I got them for free. I couldn’t say no to that.

I am loving the gallery wall! What a perfect place for it.

Good luck rearranging the furniture. You can actually buy something that will connect to cable cords together to make it longer. It’s not a splitter, just a connector. It looks like this:

    http://www.amazon.com/GE-23203-Extension-Adaptor-Connects/dp/B00061UISM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347459357&sr=8-1&keywords=cable+connector+coaxial

Although I’m sure Travis knows about it :)

Travis probably has a ton of those in a box somewhere, and I just don’t know it. I’m not sure if we have extra cable cords though, hm…

Love the gallery wall! I put a small one up over my dining room buffet and have yet to put pictures in the frames. It’s been months…literally…and still no pictures. This might be my “get on that” moment!!

I’ll have to do a video tour sometime, when all of this organization/cleaning is done. It’s confusing to some people. Everytime someone comes over and goes down stairs, they don’t remember how to get out. haha

The little gallery wall is super cute! I am still working on the one in our house… most of the frames and canvas’ are up now but most are still empty. We are inching towards the finish line lol!

Love the gerbils- so cute! Good luck with the furniture rearranging in the bedroom!

cute gerbil! I love how you name them after VW models!

Love your photo collage wall. :)

I think they sell really long cable cords (somewhere) I know we have a really long one and I don’t know where we got it, in case you really really want to rearrange your bedroom but your cord is too short…
