Weekend Wrap-Up #24

I’m finally back to feeling like myself, it took me an entire week, but I’m back and feeling great. Plus, having the nice and relaxing weekend that we had helped a ton. Friday night we went to the Eagle Hotel & Restaurant with Travis’ co-workers for wings & drinks. I skipped out on the drinks though, because just the thought of drinking any amount of alcohol right now makes me a little nauseous. They had some amazing old bay seasoned wings though. We went home afterwards, and then Travis went out to the bar with one of his co-workers and I stayed home since I was still feeling under the weather. The next morning Travis was slightly hungover so we hung out in bed with the kitty.

We eventually had to get moving and go pick up Travis’ rental car and go grocery shopping. While at the grocery store, I wanted something that smelled like pumpkins for the apartment. I picked up Glade’s Maple Pumpkin spray & it smells delicious.

Once the groceries were put away, Travis started making some soup. It is delicious.

We spent the rest of the night relaxing. On Sunday, we had a few places to go before the Patriots played at 1 o’clock. We first had to empty out Travis’ Moms Tahoe, because we had to return it. (We were borrowing it until Travis got a rental.) Travis still had a bunch of Volkswagen parts in the back of it, so we added them to the growing pile of parts in the living room. There is a crazy amount of parts…

We then both drove to his Mom’s house to drop of of his Mom’s Tahoe.
I had to drive the HUGE rental. This car is so long.

After we dropped the car off, we stopped in at Travis’ Mems since yesterday was her birthday (we think she turned 90). We talked for awhile there until we had to head back home for the start of the football game. Travis made some delicious, but really filling cheese steaks to eat during the game. P.S. The Pats Won! (34-13)

Once the game was over, we headed over to my parent’s house to take our stuff out of the camper. Which meant bringing home all of the alcohol left over from the summer. I’m still not feeling it…

How was your weekend? The fall weather is starting to move in, so I’ve been back to wearing my moccasins since Saturday! :)

Lazy Saturday mornings are the best! Fall is moving in here too and I couldn’t be happier about it. I wore a sweater, scarf and perma-smile to Home Depot yesterday!

I’m glad you’re feeling better! I missed your posts last week.

Looks like you had a good weekend.

Also, I always find it amusing which football teams people are a fan of. Especially when they don’t live directly in a big football area.

I’m a small car person like you. Anything bigger than my Elantra is more than I can handle (especially parking). I drove a Camaro in high school and I’m still surprised I was able to get around in that thing. My dream car is a Mini but it is just going to have to wait until the kids are grown and driving themselves.

I made hamburger soup over the weekend in the crock-pot to celebrate the cool weather. It was amazing! :)

Otherwise all I did was sleep. I envy those who are able to be productive on the weekends!
