Lazy Dog Days of Summer {7 Questions}

It’s really humid out these days, even though the temperature didn’t even hit 80° F yet today, but it’s suppose to be in the 90′s the rest of the week. I don’t enjoy it, mostly because I’m stuck in an office for most of the day and then I’m running errands afterwards in a car that is black, with black leather seats. Black & Leather hate the summertime. If I was a teenager again, out of school for the summer, I’d so be enjoying this weather, or if it was the weekend and I’d be camping, I’d be praying for this weather. But I’m not a teenager anymore, and it’s only Wednesday. So since I’m not outside spray painting anything because it decides to storm randomly these days, I’m bringing to you 7 question, which I’ve linked up at Gentri Lee.

1. It’s August first, are you savoring the Summer or ready to jump into Fall?
I think I answered this in the first paragraph, but I’m definitely ready for Fall. Heck, I even typed up a post this morning about what I’d like to do this fall, and scheduled it for the day before fall starts, September 21. However, I still have one river rafting trip this month that I’m really looking forward to, but after that Fall, Fall, Fall.

2. You need a quick and healthy meal, what do you make?
This is a hard one because I don’t really “make” anything. Travis always cooks and he is like a Paula Dean. Butter & Salt, Butter & Salt. I always have to yell at him for it, but I do eat a lot of fruit, like bananas, grapes & melons. So, I’d have to say a piece of fruit.

3. You’re at the mall, how do you shop?
I don’t even remember the last time I went shopping at a mall. I do most of my clothing shopping online, but I’m pretty much a regular at the local craft stores. I look for bargains and clearance aisles. I hate spending money as well, so it has to be something that I really, really love or need.

4. Would you rather buy a new house or renovate an old one?
I’d rather build a house, but land is crazy expensive in my area. So plan B is to renovate an old house that has lots of character. Coming to a blog near you in 2013… Maybe. But seriously, I’d rather renovate. If I was a millionaire, I’d be flipping houses. No lie.

5. Long hair or short hair?
Long. This might be hard to believe but my hair is much easier to straighten when it’s really long, versus when it’s shoulder length. I just got my hair cut to my shoulders in June, but I’m ready for it to be long again.

6. Who is your oldest (not by age) friend?
Hmmm… I think it would be my friend Samantha. We met in middle school because she couldn’t get her locker open, so our gym teacher asked me if I’d help her out. I did and we’ve been friends ever since. My dad even calls her his long lost daughter & I was the Maid of Honor in her wedding this past January. (Below: That is myself on the left & Samantha on the right at her Bridal Shower)

7. What is your favorite blog- currently?
I have A LOT of favorite blogs. You can find them all here.

Girl I never go to the mall anymore either! I only want to buy house stuff :) I’d rather renovate an old home too! We’re definitely going to be more specific with what we’re looking for in the next home we buy!

I’m soooooo ready for fall to be here. It has been absolutely unbearably hot here in Indiana this summer. We need some relief!

It was really hot here in the beginning of June & July, but lately it’s been humid & sticky with a bunch of thunderstorms. What is weird is that last weekend it was only in the 60′s! Weird weather.

P.S. I’ve been working on your header, but it’s slow going. I’m just swamped with other things right now & tomorrow I’m taking my sisters engagement photos, but I should be able to knock it all out for you by Sunday! Sorry it’s taking so long.

Ive just come to terms that my hair looks ugly straight. So it’s always curly which works with all the lengths that I have it at. But yes, when you try to straighten shoulder length hair, it doesn’t work.Thank you so much for participating!!

As you may have guessed from my post yesterday…I am ready for fall!!
And I usually want long hair when my hair is short, and short hair when it is long, lol. Right now it’s short =(

I always tell myself when I cut my hair short to never do that again, but I always do it again. :-X

I’m going to savour this last month of summer but I’m looking forward to fall too! I’m also in the category of only wanting to buy house things and not knowing what length I want my hair. lol. I guess it’s just normal girl problems!

And totally on board for the renovating thing. I’ve always dreamed of building and hopefully we will do that one day (I want to design the whole layout of the house and everything) but I also REALLY love renovating.
