SoCo, Blogs & Wreaths All Organized
07/13/2012
It’s Friday! :) Finally! It’s been one long week. My entire week has revolved around work, and when Travis is picking me up from work since I don’t have a car, the one day I waited outside for a good hour in a half! So I’m pretty excited that I get my car back today, but not so excited for the bill. Anyway, for the past week I’ve been working on organize the blog pages, like the blog directory, adult beverages, and crafts & projects pages. They are finally done. You can visit them all by clicking on their links on the top navigation bar, seen here:

The Adult Beverages Page – This page makes me sooo thirsty for one of the drinks, even though it’s currently only 8am. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right? The top of the page is now separated into categories, which makes it easy to search for a drink with a specific ingredient. Want a drink that uses Vodka? No problem. Want something fruity? I’ve got you covered. Do you have some left over club soda from a party and want to know what to make with it? I got your back. The list is small for now, but overtime it will grow & grow. Heck, I’m planning on making four, yes FOUR, drinks next weekend. People might mistake me for Marie on the real world during that weekend (have you guys been watching the Real World this season? I usually hate the shower, but this season is awesome… even though I can’t watch it anymore because of the whole DirecTV vs. Viacom fued.)

If you scroll down thru the categories on the Adult Beverages page you’ll see the entire directory of drink mixes. Complete with a picture, the name of the drink, easy access for “pinning”, easy access to the full tutorial and even a quick run down of the ingredients. Simple & Easy.

The Blog Directory – I love blogs. I love reading them, I love giving feedback, I love looking at pictures, and I love finding new blogs. So, I took my basic blogroll and added ALL of the blogs I read and categorized them. This list will evolve over time, but as of right now there are 100+ blogs to check out. & as you can see, Home Blogs are my all time favorite. ♥

The Crafts & Projects page – First and foremost, this blog is a home/craft blog, so I did the projects page a little differently then the adult beverages page. Since over time there is going to be TONS of crafts on this page. The sort by category is the same as the adult beverages, you can easily find projects for a holiday, or made out of wood, or by color.

But for the bottom portion of the page, the crafts directory, I had to do it VERY basic, with just a simple image and the title with a link that goes right to the tutorial. I love the way I have my adult beverages page laid out, but that same concept just wouldn’t work right on this page, since it will eventually get huge.

So there you have it, newly organized pages. Let me know what you think! & I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
P.S. I switched my personal reader from Google Reader to BlogLovin’ & I’m now a HUGE fan of BlogLovin’. The look & feel is amazing, and I love seeing a “preview” picture of a post, instead of just a line of text like Google Reader. If you haven’t checked out BlogLovin’ yet, please do!

Everything looks great!
I would never have a patience to organize everything like this – kudos to you ;)
I love bloglovin! I’m pretty sure I heard about it from you a few months ago. I have the toolbar/button installed on my browser so it gives me “notifications” when I have new blogs to read. Plus they have an app for the phone :)
Can’t wait to hear about your new drinks… mmmm

Thanks Ash! :)
I have the app, but I need to install that toolbar when I get home! I usually read blogs at work so it sucks that I can’t use the toolbar during the day.
I can’t wait to drink, the drinks :P
