Weekend Wrap-Up #17
This post is WAY late today, but before I get into it I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who left comments on my last blog post & to everyone that sent me the sweetest emails, including my role model‘s sweet instagram comment. :) All of your comments made me smile, and all of the support I was getting was and still is amazing. I’ve learned a couple things from the post. Like being awkward is a blogging requirement, followed by anxiety issues and the more awkward, the longer you last in the blog world, so Michelle and I will be in wheelchairs & walkers at the age of 90, still doing this if the internet exists. I will continue putting myself into this blog, and being open & honest with my readers. Also, after reading some of the comments/emails, I just want everyone to know, that if YOU ever need someone to talk to, I’m here. I’m a great listener, and I can give advice when needed. I almost always have my phone on my, so please feel free to shoot me an email at melaniehoffert@gmail.com I don’t want anyone to ever feel like they are alone.
It’s kind of hard to remember what you did over the weekend on a Monday afternoon, but her it goes…
On Friday afternoon Travis picked me up from work, since my car is still in the shop.
It was a crazy 119° outside, according to his car.

So we hit up Sonic Drive-In for some burgers & limeade’s.

Travis’ dropped me off at home then, because he had to work late (10PM-ish).
So, I spent my time talking with the Insurance company and cuddling with Coco.

On Saturday morning, Travis was jumping on the bed at 8:30 in the morning
because he wanted me to wake up so we could go work on his car.
I hate mornings…
I got up and ready to go, and then we headed to Advanced Auto parts.

Travis’ spent most of the day working on his car, while I took pictures of flowers and pulled weeds (yet again) in my dad’s flower bed.

I did go swimming, but by myself.

& had a delicious Watermelon Frozen Ice.

On Sunday, we headed up to Travis’ hometown for a 4th of July cookout.
Here is Travis & his Dad cooking up some sausages.

Does anyone have any 4th of July plans? Or did you celebrate the holiday this past weekend? I know some of you Canadian’s celebrated Canada Day, how did that go? I saw some delicious cake ideas out there! Travis & I are planning on going to see fireworks on Wednesday night by the river and we’ll be camping this coming up weekend. :)

Nice! No clue what I’m doing on Wednesday for my day off. I see you get to meet the couple behind Popcorn on the Stove! That’s exciting! :)

Sounds like a really fun weekend! Mine was pretty lame. I did get to try on the (trial) wedding dress though. It’s supposed to be done by the end of the month!

Looks like you had a pretty exciting weekend! Nothing quite like lounging in the pool.
Not sure what my plans are for Wednesday. I’m bummed I only get 1 day off in the middle of the week so I might just spend it at the pool in our complex and hope Kevin will put his vegetarianism aside for the day and make me a cheeseburger on the grill!

I only get 1 day off in the middle of the week too. It makes no sense, I’d rather have off Friday. Cheeseburger on the grill sounds fantastic to me! I’ve been craving a Cheeseburger for awhile now for some reason (no prego)

ack so hot!
I’m jealous of your swim time though. Our backyard neighbors have a pool and I stare at it wishfully often ;)
I’ll be working on 4th of July, but hopefully catching the fireworks in our new hometown that night :)

Looks like a great weekend!
It was Canada Day long weekend here so we had 3 days but they still flew by!! Saturday I spent by the pool at my moms doing wedding crafts and swimming with my niece. Sunday I was sick so I spent some time reading and relaxing and Monday was more wedding tasks. Only one more weekend to go!
Enjoy July 4th on Wednesday!
