Weekend Wrap-Up #11

What is Weekend Wrap-Up? It’s a way for me to capture/document my weekends (Friday’s from 4PM EST until I go to sleep Sunday Night) by taking random pictures from my cell phone or Nikon D5000 and posting them here every Monday morning.

Why? It gives you guys a peek into my life, and even sneak peeks into projects I’m currently working on. It’s also so I can look back and see what I did on certain weekends and I just think it would be fun to have.

We had a pretty relaxing weekend. On Friday night Travis started the beer brewing process, it’s not fermenting in our bedroom. Saturday Travis made a big supper for the two of us; yams, noodles, mashed potatoes w/ gravy and homemade meatloaf – it was delicious. On Sunday we were going to work on my car so it’s ready for inspection, but we ended up spending 5 hours at one of his clients because their server went down.

    It depends what kind of beer you make – last year we made a dark indian ale, which took FOREVER. We made it in April, and we didn’t get to drink it until September. This year we are making a german pilsner, which is only suppose to take 3 weeks to ferment and then sit in the bottles for I believe 12 days, so we started Mid-May and should be able to drink it towards the end of June.

    Your weekends are a lot more active than mine. My bf has wanted to make his own beer for ages now! It looks so much fun, we should definitely try it some time.

    Jesse makes wine but has never done beer before, but I’m sure it’s something he’d love. Where did Travis get all of his brewing stuff?

    Looks like you had a great weekend! It was the long weekend here in Canada and ours was super busy!! The weather was gorgeous here though… like middle of summer heat. Lots of sun burns around today!

    Our long weekend is this weekend – I have 4 fantastic days off & I can’t wait! I’m sure i’ll be sunburn by the time Monday rolls around. Hopefully I remember the sunscreen :-X
