Just one of those days.

You know those little periods in life where things just get a bit crazy for a bit. This is one of those times – so why not document it on the ole’ blog so I can forever re-live these moments. Yesterday was one of the weirdest days I’ve had in awhile. A mixture of ups and downs all thrown into a span of three hours.

After work yesterday, I got in my car all ready to go home and seize the afternoon. I start my car, put down the parking brake, and slide the car into reverse. I then try to back up… it doesn’t want to move more than a foot. So, I think to myself… dumbass, the parking brake. I look down, nope, it’s already down. Hmmm… I then think to myself that sometimes my car can drive without actually being turned all the way on, so let me pull out (since I’m already a foot out of my spot) and pull into another parking spot and figure out what the hell is wrong with my car. I get out of the car, look at the drivers side – nothing is wrong, I walk around to the passenger side and see this…

adjfkajdkfjadfhadf! And of course, Travis has my spare tire in HIS car, because I let him use it a few weeks ago when he drove upstate. I even asked him to put it in my car because I knew I was going to get a flat tire without it, and he told me that he drives around all day from client to client, so it’s best he has it, and if I ever get a flat tire, to just call him (truth – I couldn’t change a tire on my car if I even tried). So, I gave him a nice little ring at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon when he still had an hour of work left in his workday. Being the wonderful boyfriend that he can sometimes be (ha! love you babe) he came right over to my work and changed my tire. I thought things were a-okay then. Nope, turns out I need all new tires, asap. My tires have been dry rotted since I bought the thing off of Craigslist back in August. So, the tire cracked and slowly leaked. My front drivers side tires is about to do the same as well. I have a serious love-hate relationship with my car. Especially, when I’m pulling out of the driveway and Travis looks at my car funny, and then walks up to me and says “Check your oil when you get to work, or take your lunch break”. (My car tends to burn up oil like it’s going out of style).

So, once we finally get home Travis decides that this weekend is beer brewing weekend – which means it’s time to sanitize bottles and buckets. Just what I wanted to do on a gorgeous afternoon.

My kitchen is now looking like this…

To top everything else all off, Coco decided to get into a brawl with a cat outside. Travis grabbed her out of the window and she leaps out of his arms right back into the window and hurts her paw. You think that would teach her to stay out of the damn windows, but no. So now she has a slightly bloody paw and she curls her paw when she sits and lays down.

Time to spend money on a vet visit and new tires – while beer ferments in my bedroom. Ah, The joys of life. But on the flip side – My sister came and picked up the futon that’s been sitting in our bedroom for months, it looks so weird now without all of that metal sitting in there. :)

Here’s to a stiff drink after work! I hope you all have a great weekend!

P.S. Are you guys having any trouble reading my posts with the font that I’m using? I think I’m using Arial, 12px, at 22px height – Proof reading this post made me all googely eyed, so I figured I’d ask – Any font face, size or height suggestions? I’m all ears.

A flat tire must have been a terrible way to end the work day, ugh! Hopefully you’ll get to enjoy the weekend.
And I’m having no trouble reading your posts!

I hope today is better than yesterday! That really stinks about the tires. I would be thoroughly ticked.

    And have a wonderful weekend!

The font looks fine on my computer & ipod :)

Luckily today is Friday, so it will be better than yesterday!
The tires are such a bummer. There are usually deals for buying a whole set, at least – I know around here PepBoys always offers buy 3 get the 4th free. I had to get a full set two years ago when I spun out daily in the snow.

Hopefully Coco’s paw recovers quickly, too! Poor baby. Is that outdoor cat a stray or does he belong to a neighbor? Maybe you should call a humane society or something?

Looks like Travis is doing his part to supply you with the stiff drink… in a few weeks… haha ;)

Glad the font looks okay! We usually order our tires online and get them shipped – they are usually a better deal. I’m in need of new wheels as well – so this bill is going to hurt! Hopefully I can get some ordered today, so Travis can put them on my car by next weekend.

There are a bunch of strays around my apartment, my landlord feeds them and captures them (to take them to the vet to get fixed) and then lets them roam free in the neighborhood. The Humane Society would have to put them down if we took them in, because all of the Human Society’s in the area are overrun with pitbulls from the city.

Awww I hope your weekend is better than your week! I hate weeks where it feels like everything stacks up on top of each other like that.

That’s lame about your tires and Coco’s paw. Hopefully you have a great weekend and it makes up for it!

Your font is good for me!

And HEY! PA girls unite! My dude brews beer in our basement too!! His last batch made four cases…and they ALL tasted like soap, some of them even had bubbles. HA! Fabulous. Some day he will make something delicious though…I have faith!

Sorry about your tires, that stinks! The last time I got a flat tire was on my birthday last winter.

Yay, for PA Girls! We’re a rare breed. ;)
My boyfriends last batch was too bitter for me, he made a dark indian ale. This time he’s going with a light german pilsner.

Ew, a flat tire on your birthday – hopefully the rest of the day was awesome!
