Liquid Skittles
05/16/2012
The second drink I made for this past camping trip was Liquid Skittles. For some reason it didn’t make very much at all, especially when we took 1 virgin Liquid Skittles out of the mixture – I could of added water to the mixture of strawberry daiquiri, but I didn’t want it watered down. It was still really, really good. Very sweet and sour, just like skittles candy.

What You’ll Need: (Made 2 small drinks, and 1 small virgin drink)
- 6 oz. Malibu Mango Rum
- 12 oz. Strawberry Daiquiri Frozen Mix
- 6 oz. Gatorade Lemon-Lime

Pour your Strawberry Daiquiri mix into a large bowl, and then add in your six ounces of Gatorade.

Add in your Malibu Mango Rum.

Give it a good stir and pour – Good stuff.

UPDATE: I’ve received a lot of questions on how to make a bigger batch of this stuff. Just simply find strawberry or cherry limeade by the gallon (usually in the juice aisle of your local grocery store). Mix that with Lemon-Lime gatorade & Malibu Mango Rum.

This one disappointed me, and I didn’t have a smaller glass – so the pictures disappoint me too, but thank you! :P

Do you think this could be made as a larger batch? Like for a party?

If you can get strawberry limeade by the gallon, then you’re set.

Does the strawberry mix need to be frozen?

I kept my mix frozen, so my drink would be a bit slushie like and cold. You could probably go either way.

We are wanting to take this out for a 4 wheeling trip. will it be ok in a jug in a cooler or does it need to stay frozen? also how could we make a bigger batch

I’ve been meaning to update this drink mix. Make a bigger batch by finding strawberry limeade by the gallon (usually in the juice aisle). Combined that with Gatorade & Rum. Does not need to be frozen, so drinking from a jug that’s kept cold should be fine. Let me know how it goes!

when making this, does it have to be mango rum or can it be another flavor?

I’ve never tried any other flavors. You can always experiment though. Let me know how they turn out!

Where did you buy the strawberry Bacardi mix? I can’t find this anywhere :(

You can use strawberry or cherry limeade instead. It comes in a gallon jug. The strawberry mix is found in the frozen juice aisle (like welch’s and frozen orange juice)

If I make it larger I just add more liquor and gatorade to the gallon of limeaide?

There is 128 ounces in a gallon. So you’d have to multiply the other ingredients by 10?

How much of the rum, and gatorade are supposed to put in? Like the whole bottle of rum and gatorade?
