Weekend Wrap-Up #9

Within a half hour of being home from work on Friday night,
Travis and I got bored and decided to head up to his Mom’s camp,
which is about an hour in a half away from us.

At first, the weather was great on the drive up, but then the clouds started to open up.

& then it started to hail and the winds really picked up.

A few minutes later, the storm was over with.
But just in that little bit of time there was debris everywhere,
and even a part of the road became flooded.

On the plus side, there was a huge rainbow.

And the rest of the drive was smooth sailing.

We had an awesome time up at camp and the weather was not bad either,
just a little chilly. Here are a few pictures I snapped over the weekend.

On the way home on Sunday, we decided to stop at the Old Sled Works in Duncannon, Pennsylvania. It’s a huge antique and craft market where Travis’ mom (pictured above) bought me some owls for Christmas. Travis and I have never been there, so we wanted to check it out. The place is way bigger than it looks, that’s for sure, and it has two floors full of unique items. (The rest of the photos were taken on my Samsung Galaxy S & Travis’ iPhone)

I loved this galvanized tube. I could image turning it into a work sink, and putting it in a laundry room. Travis found a 50′s style table that he loved too, and I’m amazed that he didn’t get a picture of it.

We managed to snap a good amount of photos of the place to show you guys,
even though both of our phones were almost dead.

What a great weekend! I didn’t do much besides going to Ikea and hanging out with some friends :)

Wow that storm looks intense! Glad it didn’t ruin your camping plans, though :)
Old Sled Works looks like a place you could get lost in wandering for hours – so cool!

I spent my weekend packing – what a shock! haha ;)

The place is HUGE – I thought we went thru the whole thing and then realized that there was an entire other section to the right of the entrance.

We just moved 7 months ago, so I feel your pain! :P

This weekend we saw the Avengers movie and went to Six Flags. Tons of fun!

How was the Avengers movie? We were going to see it, but it got too late Sunday night.

Ahh, the middle of nowhere sounds like the perfect place to get away for a weekend! Also, find anything good at the market? Looks like you could spend hours picking through that place…

We were just window shopping, but there was a lot of neat stuff. You definitely could spend hours in there, we just kind of walked through and skimmed the surface, but we’d love to go back again sometime.

Looks like you had a great weekend! We had great weather here and spent most of it outside doing yard work and wedding projects. It was a great weekend though.

That antique market does look huge. We have one like that near where we live and have found lots of great things there! I love places like that!

So jealous that you have an awesome little camp getaway only an hour and a half away… I would escape there all the time!!

That store looks amazing! I have no idea how you have enough will power to walk out empty-handed. I hope you made some mental notes for next time ;)
