Blueberry Lemonade w/ Vodka
05/03/2012
I’m attempting to make a different kind of alcohol trip for every camping trip I go on this year with my Dad’s side of the family (12 trips total). For the first camping trip I made some Blueberry Lemonade with Pinnacle Vodka. (Recipe slightly altered from here.)

To make this drink you just need the following:
- Vodka
- Fresh Blueberries
- Mason Jar
- Lemonade
- Lemon Slices (Optional)
Side Note: It served about 9 people in small cups.

The first thing you want to do, is fill the bottom of your mason jar with fresh blueberries.

And then fill the jar to the top with vodka. (I used Pinnacle, I was going to actually use the Pinnacle Blueberry vodka, but the distributor I went to didn’t sell it.) Once filled to the top, you want to mash your blueberries at the bottom a bit, so they can mix with the vodka. I just smashed them with a whisk, and shook the mason jar. Your vodka will turn a bit cloudy then. Once that step is done, put the jar in the fridge for a minimum of 12 hours.

Once the 12 hours are up, and the vodka is looking purple it’s ready to go.

Get your lemonade and lemons ready. You’ll want to strain the vodka out so you just have the liquid.

Once your vodka is strained, you’re ready to make your drink.
- Pour 1 part vodka & 2 parts lemonade into a cup (or smaller mason jar)
- Cut some lemon slices, and stick one on your cup
- Add 3 fresh blueberries to your drink
- Stick a straw in it & enjoy!

I don’t like vodka, at all – but I drank this no problem. Just tasted like spiked lemonade. You could try using something else, like rum. I’m not sure how it would come out, but worth a shot. :)

This looks refreshing (I love all forms of lemonade)! Do you think you could try it with different fruits like raspberries or strawberries??

I’m not much of an alcohol drinker these days but it looks very tasty. I wonder if a virgin version could be created?

Mmmmmm that looks great! I love the idea of pre-soaking the vodka in berries. I may have to try this with raspberries!! :)
