Latest Additions: Signs & Baskets

When I went shopping over the weekend, I picked up a few things at IKEA, like 3 cork hot pads and a bathroom scale, which cost under $10 total. When I went to Home Goods, I was on a home decor high, seriously. I had a $25 gift card burning a hole in my pocket, and the place was HUGE! We had two hours to go through the entire store, so my sister and I flew down aisles like we were on a mission. I found quite a few things that I couldn’t leave without. I picked up a great striped sweater, a sweet clock (which I’ll post about as soon as I get it hung up on the wall), a kitty toy basket and a sign, which I got for $5 after my gift card was put towards it.

I hung the sign up in our mud room/foyer since we have nothing on the walls in that area, but before I show you it, let’s image that the light switch plate is white, the walls are a grey shade, or even a great green color, and the trim is white, okay? Use that imagination! The beige, on beige, on beige just doesn’t work well with anything.

It’s hard to ignore that beige, isn’t it?

Here was another one of my purchases from Home Goods. A new toy basket for Coco, since her old one didn’t match anything. It was only $7.99 and it has little paw prints down the front, and a bow on both ends. It holds all of her toys, and even leaves some room for more. And yes, she has catnip filled angry birds. :)

Coco loves the basket. As soon as I got home on Saturday night from shopping, she jumped right in it and rubbed all over it.

I love that sign! These typography signs that are everywhere now really draw me in. So cute – and even better that you had a gift card for it ;)

BTW – Eve is very jealous of Coco’s angry bird toys. Looks like I’ll be hunting for some for her ;)

Love both of those! Does Coco play with all of those toys? My cat only seems to be interested in playing with pieces of dog food and bugs.

If she is in a playful mood, she’ll play with anything. But she mostly plays with her angry birds, her pink monkey, these cottonball like balls, and tiny mice.

I have about 3 IKEA’s around me, but they are all over an hour away. I couldn’t imagine 6 hours!

Very cute!! The sign is sweet and the basket is adorable. It’s probably a good thing Home Goods is a 30 minute drive for me; otherwise I’d be broke! ;)

That typographic sign is really cool! I like how tall it is! I’m on the look out for some more art for our walls.

I love the basket! I would love to have a couple of these… one for the dogs and one for the cats.

I’ve never been to a Home Goods before… sounds like a place I would absolutely love but a quick search says the nearest one if 50 miles away. Boo.
