Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Do you remember this mirror from the apartment tour a week or so ago?

It was half painted & had tape stuck on it from my boyfriend’s lovely Christmas decorations from last year. (Seen Below)

Yes, that is Mr. Hankey from South Park…

Well, guess what I did over the weekend with some leftover spray paint?

Yup, I finally got her done over the weekend during Hurricane Irene. What else was I suppose to do without any power? (besides complain that I really wanted to get a shower.)

Mirror: $0 already owned
Spray Paint: $0 already owned
Total Project Cost: $0

You’re probably wondering why I painted her grey. Well, it’s because I love the color silver and I am in love with the following bathrooms…

One day I will have a silver or grey toned bathroom – Which will be pretty hard to accomplish since Travis really does not like those last two images.

What is your dream bathroom color?

Dreaming of the Perfect Home Office

First off, how does everyone like the new layout? I think it’s more inspiring, at least for me anyway. It makes me feel more creative. :)

Anyway, It just hit me today that I do more work on this blog, then I do at my actual job. Which got me thinking about a home office (in my dreams, right?) I would love to work at home, in a space that I designed to fit me perfectly. Where I could be creative all day, look at amazing pictures and blog away.

“Find something you love to do,
& you’ll never work a day in your life”

- Harvey MacKay

I’ve gathered a few images of my favorite home office spaces to share with you guys.

I love where the window is in this office
and all of the storage space.

I am generally not a morning person,
but walking into this office in the early morning
would definitely wake me up,
It’s so bright & cheerful.

Via Pinterest
I love the collage of inspiration behind this desk,
I think I would end up starring at it too much though,
but I love how simple this space is.

Via Pinterest
This desk is hands-down my favorite.
I’m a nature, outdoorsy girl at heart,
so I love natural textures and tones.
I need to DIY a desk like this as soon as possible.

Via Pinterest
I love the softness of the rug and chair
combined with those rough blinds,
and all of that natural light.

Via Pinterest
I love the black cabinetry in this one,
and how it’s tucked away in the kitchen.
I don’t need an entire room dedicated to myself,
I just need a little corner or nook to blog away at.
Is that a wine chiller right next to the desk?
Whoever designed this room is a genius!

I just love this room,
I don’t know why, but I do.

I think this is a great small office,
plenty of storage and space to do projects.
I love that back wall and workspace area.

Do any of you have a home office?
